Geordie Lyall Signs With WALSALL FC

Former Bays player Geordie Lyall has signed a contract with WALSALL FC (the SADDLERS) of the England's Football league (Coca-Cola League-Table 2). The Saddlers are currently in 1st place and are well-placed to move up to Table 1. From there could eventually move into the Champion's league and then the EPL.

Geordie played with Bays United all through his youth soccer career. Out of High School from GNS, he went to Uvic and played for 5 years with Bruce Wilson, earning All-Canadian Honors.  When Uvic was over around Christmas, he would sign with our Div 1s (Blues) for the remainder of the season.  After graduating from Uvic, Geordie signed with the then Vancouver 86ers Reserve team and played with them for 2 years. He got called up with the Caps during his second season and has played 7 years with them now, earning Defender of the Year honors with the Whitecaps and A-League 1st team All Star Honors, while helping the Whitecaps win their 1st USL Division Championship in their 14th season.
